WHO IS CHRIST?
CAN ANYONE BE SAVED?
First lets understand whose doing the saving, Jesus Christ. One part of the trinity; the Son. The Holy Lamb of God who sits at the right hand of the father. The Lamb with no blemish who was slain for all mankind. The only way to Heaven; the gateway to the Father, where we are meant to be, in His presence worshiping Him in the ideal relationship intended in from the start.
I am the door, if anyone enters by Me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.
John 10:9
The price He paid was not easy at all and the results are felt up to date. Because of His blood, patients have been restored, families reunited and breakthroughs swooping in. Because of His name, every knee will bow and confess that He is Lord. Imagine that. Everything that ever existed kneeling before Him. Because of the cross, Christians share the same power with Christ. Look at this verse:
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave His life for me.
Galatians 2:20
Everything that Christ conquered, you have conquered too. Imagine taking some fire from a big source like a fireplace and use it to light a candle. Just because it’s a candle doesn’t make the candle “just a candle”! It’s lit and it will burn anything near it. Likewise, when we accept Christ as our lord, what was in the past, literally dies because God throws that away, gives you a fresh start because of Christ’s blood. We will study that more in the next coming topics because, it’s a filling topic….
Christ died for anybody and everybody. Did you know that the most wanted criminal can accept Christ into his life and Heaven rejoices. Why? Christ never leaves the one lost sheep. He’ll never leave the depressed teenager, the suicidal relative or the lonely overworked widow and the alcoholic violent uncle. In His word He shares a passion for man knowing the truth, a passion for all to be saved (1 Timothy 2:4)
So what is to be saved? Is it about following strictly to the letter what the Bible says? NO! Follow the bible strictly with the understanding and the wisdom the Holy Spirit provides. To be saved is to accept Christ for who He is and let Him work in you.
Amen.
