Ever been to an industrial place? Where there are so many wires and pipes running around huge machines? It can get real noisy and more over, dangerous. The only way to protect individuals from harm is to barricade the voluminous circuits. If there is some noise beyond the safety border, the smartest thing to do would be to alert the supervisor concerned. However I did the opposite when I found myself in that situation; I grabbed the door knob, twisted it and peeked inside. The back of a huge machine was humming away plus, if you get a picture of a store house, add it there. Immediately, I closed the door because I didn’t want to mess something up. But wait, how was I able to access that door? Shouldn’t it have been a restricted area? Yet it was open furthermore, accessed by someone from a different department.

The Reality of Things.
This got me thinking and God dropped a word in my heart. I just want to share what God shared with me, a reminder and an encouragement. From this simple accessible door, isn’t it interesting that it wasn’t locked? I have been moving nearby, thinking it was, but that was not the case. There are people like this everywhere and even in the church. People who look like they have it all figured out and those trying to keep up with an image and those trying to hide something and those living in defeat and those wondering where God is. We try to make it look so, one way or the other but God can see us.
The Heart.
There’s a horrible lies that the enemy introduces to us, hoping to ignite a raging inferno of negative emotions. We know them. They may be true but most are not, but who cares? It’s in the past 1 . Remember that God also heals wounds. He healed the woman with the issue of blood 2 , he rescued the mad man infested with a legion of demons 3. Point is, whatever it is that gives you strength to hide behind fake smiles, know that God sees it. Please this is a reminder that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is here for you today. How He talked and walked with men throughout history is how He wants to grow with you if not more. By all means, trust that God is reaching out to you because He says so in His Word.
The spirit in us yeans for Him but we have have so many things distracting us and hence, we feel a need to keep up an illusion for the public. I’m not saying break down in public, in fact, I’m saying be real with yourself and give yourself to to God 4. He can see us but He can only intervene when we invite Him, and how do we do that? Good question, by activating our faith! Believing that He is the only one who can pull us out from our frayed thinking. He has always been there, it’s us to take the first step.
His reality for us.
Let no foreigner who is bound to the Lord say, “The Lord will surely exclude me from his people.”
Isaiah 56: 3-8
And let no eunuch complain, “I am only a dry tree.” For this is what the Lord says: “To the eunuchs who keep my Sabbaths, who choose what pleases me and hold fast to my covenant— to them I will give within my temple and its walls a memorial and a name better than sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name that will endure forever. And foreigners who bind themselves to the Lord to minister to him, to love the name of the Lord, and to be his servants all who keep the Sabbath without desecrating it and who hold fast to my covenant— these I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.” The Sovereign Lord declares— he who gathers the exiles of Israel: “I will gather still others to them besides those already gathered.”
Where the rubber meets the road.
I know some of us are afraid of lengthy passages but please complete the whole 5 verses. They contain what God says for you. This is His reality for us if we give Him the room to work.
Let me tell you a short story: My uncle, my sister and I used to love watching cartoons after school. He was lots of fun and would encourage us to finish homework before the toons. Unfortunately years later, he passed on due to an illness. Calmly, I read a verse at his funeral with the understanding of heaviness due to come. No more fun or cartoon times. As people viewed the body afterwards, I stole a glance at him, long enough to have it engraved in my brain to this day. I did not shed a tear, instead, I did so about 3 years back.
In conclusion, there are a lot of tough things happening to God’s children out here in the world but at the end of the day, we are His children 5. He will heal us from the pain and take away the burden of bitterness, hatred and pride. In effect, we will become our best selves. It may take some time but eventually we will become our best selves. Let us not kid ourselves and be real with Him. Nothing should stop you from pursuing His love for you!
