Truth on Deliberacy.

For most of us, myself included, getting a handle on life is tricky. There are many things happening all at once and we still have to be organized and above it all. Of course that’s life for us. Always unpredictable and full of adventures and incredible relationships. Famous quotes go, it’s never in the destination but in the journey. There’s only one person whose dedicated their time to be there for us and that’s the Holy Spirit. Truly, a giver of wisdom and comfort. With this in mind, we have can find ways to aid in this relationship: A truth in being deliberate.

Procrastination.

This is one of the biggest monsters I’m battling with right now. My schedules are taxing and there’s always that point when I just give up. I do this by watching movies late night damning my whole to-do list in the garbage knowing full well the regret that will hit in the morning. I’m sure you can relate, Too tired to do this thing or the other and it leads to a whole stack of unfinished work that leads to migraines. The rat race was not doing it for me. As a result I resorted to healthy habits, It was hard! I cut back on the movies for short comedy videos and transition into Gospel music.

He who has a slack hand becomes poor, But the hand of the diligent makes rich.

Proverbs 10:4

Though I havent watched movies in a while, I find spending time with God is more refreshing and I’m able to tackle the day with ease! I’m not yet at 100% execution but as the progress continues I feel the change and I can see it too. Don’t let the enemy steal your time and your joy. If Christ conqured him so can you. Christs’ steps were ordained and ours can be as well. Keep time in check because that’s the most valuable thing.

Sharing the Word.

Speaking of Christ, have you ever thought about His journey? I do too. Why the tiny towns and wilderness when He could have gone straight to the most influential city and made an impact from there? We both know that wasn’t His style. What could be a could idea for us may not have worked at that time. Now we can because of technological advancements but he was teaching us something as well. Delibaracy. Things were chaotic because the priests carried out the commandments of Moses stiffly. So much so, that it was a religious appearance and not life changing. On the other hand, Christ cared about the inner man and being changed in and out.

Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

Matthew 12:34

There are iconic moments in the Bible where Christ calls them out for their hypocrisy. They had been blinded for so long they couldn’t recognize who He was. For this reason they plotted against Him. He worked with the sick, lame, deaf and blind because they believed and had faith in Him. One can see how premeditated His works were and yet in the end, there are two types of people.

Who we are.

Brethren, we serve a loving God. If He had withheld Christ, we would have been damned for all eternity. Good news is, that there is still time. As Christians, we carry His spirit, the victory over the enemy, a restored relationship with God and so much more! Before we get too excited, let’s look at this verse.

For a righteous man may fall seven times And rise again, But the wicked shall fall by calamity.

Proverbs 24:16

A righteous person isn’t righteous because they are God’s favorite. It’s because they choose to get back up. Never believe the lie that being a good person and doing good things is enough to get to Heaven. That is only possible through the blood of Christ and the grace He sustains us with to keep moving ahead with our own crosses. Listen, no matter what challenge may come, if you fall, raise again, God never dwells on the past so why should you? Get a handle on life by allowing Him to be your strength and acknowledging Him in your life.

Staying down after a defeat is a dead soldier. Be encouraged to stand up again and rejoin life. Call your parents, call your kids, Join that church in the corner, apologize to your friend, reapply to that dream job or dream school, throw away the toxic friends, flush the drugs away, exersice, find healthy habits, pray more, read the bible more and be available to Christ. Let nothing hold you back from your happy life. You are an overcomer in Jesus name!

Stay safe and be deliberate!
