What Time is it?

A concept we take for granted until it’s gone. A system made for man in order to distinguish periods of different time. If it matters that much to know the past, present and the future, then why do we do it? Why do we comply in being boxed into calendars and reminders?

The most important thing about time is that we can never take it back. Once a day is done, it’s done. It’s also the most dangerous thing about it. Why I’m I being so inquisitive about a utility given to us by God? That’s just it. God has given us time. Once you realize how precious time can be, there are things in life that will dramatically change.

Is the sun shinning? Make the hay.

“See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is”(Ephesians 5:15-17)

While we still have the time, acting upon God’s will at hand is crucial. The enemy and his old defeated tricks are at it again. I reflected the other day and it shocked me how many hours I spend on social media liking memes and watching videos. I wasn’t engaging in constructive conversations or even researching. And that’s the danger. When we can’t even realize how dusty the Bible is getting because we are hooked on the internet. The time to act is now. Use what you have in your hand to introduce Christ and watch your fruit grow.

Seen and the Unseen

Picture your favorite meal and steamy and set right before you. That’s how your spiritual man looks at the Bible. Just discovered you where on a fast? We are nothing without God and are lost without His guidance. My purpose is not met until I connect with Him. Hence procrastinating our time together hurts not only the parties involved but also death finds a way to creep in. It is imperative, that we keep our priorities aligned so that we don’t miss out when the Father speaks.

“While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal” 2 Corinthians 4:18

Tomorrow

After scrolling a kilometer or so on my phone the other day, I came across a post I’m sure you’ve seen. It said something like, “Once you breathe out you could either die or your body can restart the process of breathing in again.” How faithful is God to keep us? I cannot boast because I cannot fathom the nature of God beyond the names He has. He knows far more than I ever will. I cannot pretend to understand His complexities but what I can do is trust that he knows what’s best for me.

“Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth.” Proverbs 27:1

He literally has all the time in the world for you. Don’t let anything or anyone hold you back from experiencing His unconditional Love. He knows your name and everything about you because He is your Father. Nothing can separate you from experiencing His love (Romans 8: 38-39) and only through Him can true purpose be met. You have nothing to loose.
